This car is a tribute build to the one-off production of an open air Lemans race car commissioned to race in Macau China and was dubbed the "Macau". The car was later shipped to the US and raced by Kas Kastner who ran the Triumph race team in the US and now sits in Canley museum in England. Our car was a father son build to honor the car and Kas. It started as an abandoned car on the side of a mountain trail in Ringgold, GA. The build was followed by Spitfire & GT6 Magazine and unveiled at Summit Point Racetrack in WV during a race honoring Kas Kastner. It was also documented by aa film crew from England.
The car has had several modifications to build to exact specifications of the original car to include glassed in Lemans headlamps, rear head faring, fender flairs, 2.0 GT6 modified engine, triple Weber carbs etc. At the request of one of the previous owners of the original Macau we built the car as a left hand drive to distinguish it from the original which was Right hand drive however I am contacted regularly by individuals around the world suggesting we did a great job restoring the original. Last year it won the Crescent award at the Hilton Head Motoring Festival.
