1967 Chevrolet Camaro

Owner: Chris Jr Ronson

Company: Interstate All Battery Center

Builder: Gary Tapp

Hometown: Brunswick, Georgia

Description: Camaro started life as a straight 6 powerglide white exterior with gold interior. When I purchased it in 2002 the previous owner built and installed a custom 350 engine. Once I dug into it and performed a leak down test, I ended up rebuilding the engine. From 2003-2006 the car underwent a full body off restoration. Most of the interior remained stock/original looking but with a color change to Black. Being a California car, it retains its original dash, and I added an original center console. I updated the entire driveline as this was an early (before the times) Pro-Touring build. Through the build process, every body panel was properly repaired and fitted using all the original metal and glass. The only exceptions are the hood and tail light panel.

Modifications: B/B 350ci gear driven engine backed with a Tremec TKO 5 that dynoed 420hp/415tq motor with Global West Upper/Lower control arms, QA1 coilovers, Ford 9" rear with Detroit Locker and multi leaf springs. Wheels are 2 piece American Racing Torque Thrust II 17x8 and 17x9.5. The Blue is GM Lemans Blue and the white stripe is GM Pearl from Cadillac. New racing style front bucket seats compliment the performance the car delivers. The front lighting has been upgraded to Bi-Xenon HID for better night visibility and LED flasher/parking lamps. Stereo has been mildly upgraded for Bluetooth connectivity and currently has a small Pioneer system. To add to the uniqueness of the car I also shaved the door handles.
