“Bel Ava” is my 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air that is named after my first grandchild Ava, who coincidentally was born on the exact same day that the project car was brought home. The car is a true driver! Ava has gotten plenty of road time with Poppy, while the car was driven more than 12,000 miles in 2016.
Inglese 8 Stack Electronic Fuel Injection system sitting atop a modern LS3 motor for the perfect blend of modern power with traditional good looks. Finned valve covers complete the package, while a Tremec T-56 Magnum double-overdrive 6-speed keeps with the performance theme. The car rides on CPP front suspension with a Currie rear and QA1 shocks on all four corners. Traditional 15-inch American Torq Thrust D wheels, along with the car's simple tailored lines, keep it in fashionable style year after year. Inside, 3-Point retractable lap & shoulder harnesses keep the precious cargo safe, Dakota Digital and a Fast EFI controller monitors the LS motor's vitals, and Vintage Air keeps things cool.
